An English-subbed trailer for No Game, No Life Zero has emerged, and while it’s the same as the one shown at Anime Expo earlier this month, us non-Japanese speaking folk can now finally understand the trailer in its entirety.
The promo video also previews the theme song for the movie, “There is a Reason” by Konomi Suzuki.
The movie officially opened in Japan on 15 July, and will also be screened in four countries, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam, though they haven’t released any opening dates for either of the locations yet.
Here’s the synopsis:
Six thousand years before Sora and Shiro were even a blink in the history of Disboard, war consumed the land, tearing apart the heavens, destroying stars, and even threatening to wipe out the human race. Amid the chaos and destruction, a young man named Riku leads humanity toward the tomorrow his heart believed in. One day, in the ruins of an Elf city, he meets Shuvi, a female exiled “Ex-machina” android who asks him to teach her what it means to have a human heart.
Without further ado, here’s the trailer!
