Disney really isn’t pulling out any of the stops with their live-action adaptations of their classic animated movies, and Snow White is next on the list.

We’ve already seen them reproduce Alice in WonderlandCinderella, Beauty and the Beast, Pete’s Dragon and Jungle Book. There’s also been news of them prepping a Mulan (and Lion King!) movie as well. How long would it take for them to do a live-action remake of Frozen? we’re betting it will happen eventually.

The original movie was Disney’s first animated feature, coming out in 1937, and had pretty dark elements. The new film supposedly will expand on the music and story from the classic, featuring songs created by songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (La La Land).

Either way, the project is also looking to hire The Girl on the Train screenwriter Erin Cressida Wilson to do the script. How Disney will differentiate this new movie from recent movies like Snow White and the Huntsman and Mirror Mirror is anyone’s guess right now. So let’s hope its good, if not better.
