Whatsapp is finally getting more convenient as it’s now available as web chat on Chrome browser on desktops now. In the nutshell, users can access the famous chat program outside tablets or smartphone, no more being limited by devices.
Just go to their site https://web.whatsapp.com in the Chrome browser, scan the QR code with your mobile device(s) and you are on. The Whatsapp on the web is similar to the one used on your smartphone so whatever messages sent or received on PC will show up in the smartphone version and vice versa.
But, yes, there is a but: this is a no go for iOS users. According to the company, this is due to “Apple’s platform limitations”. They did not provide any further information beyond that one line. Anyone who wants to try this and and isn’t on iOS, just ensure that you have the latest version of the app first. The Whatsapp on the web functions well with Android, BlackBerry, Nokia S60, Windows Phone and BlackBerry 10.
Hopefully they will release a version that will give iOS users a little love.
