NVIDIA’s got a brand new eSports tournament coming to SouthEast Asia so buckle up Dota 2 and CS:GO fans, there are heaps of prizes to be won.

The tournament called the NVIDIA Powers GeForce eSports Extreme Tournament (or GEXT for short) is back in the region once again with a whopping USD$75,000+ worth of prizes to be scored from GeForce-certified iCafes.

The idea behind GEXT is to grow the local gaming community by making more opportunities open up for new, burgeoning amateur gamers who have yet to make it big by giving them the chance to try out the scene.

Participants will be duking it out in DOTA 2, where two five-player teams will fight to destroy each other’s strongholds and the rest will be running and gunning in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO)

GEXT will officially be running in GeForce Certified iCafes in five countries, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines. It will officially begin 16 June, and will take place in the following countries starting in Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand.

Those who win at the national level will get to compete with the region’s best in the GEXT Regional Grand Finals at the end of this year.
