After dropping hints that the Oculus Rift was going to be a lot more expensive than originally guessed, they finally revealed the price for the device on pre-order.
The device will be retailing for a whopping $599 (about RM 2654) with an expected shipping date of 28 March 2016, with the devices hitting the shelves sometime in April.
The Oculus Rift will come with a bunch of games and extra hardware, which makes sense of the higher price. The bundle will include copies of Lucky’s Tale, Eve: Valkyrie, an Xbox One Wireless controller and the Oculus Remote. We don’t know yet if they will make a bundle available that comes with the Oculus Touch, considering they delayed the device’s debut to the later part of this year.
Oculus states that there will be over 100 VR games available by the end of the year, inclusive of Minecraft and 20 Rift-exclusive titles from Oculus Studios.
