Plenty of companies are leveraging in on the whole Pokemon GO craze from Hotlink and Grab to Sunway Pyramid. One more has jumped into the fray and that’s Offpeak.my, the discount dining app. The company is planning to bomb Pokemon GO lures throughout various Pokestops in the Klang Valley
In an announcement on their Facebook page, the company is targeting four specific neighbourhoods, SS15, TTDI, Publika and Bangsar. Offpeak.my has already kicked off the lure bombing over at SS15 on 9 August but there are still two more days and three more neighbourhoods that Trainers can leverage on in the coming days.
That’s not all, Offpeak.my are also giving away exclusive powerbanks to lucky winners participating in their Facebook live sessions.
While all the neighbourhoods do cover a wide area, it’s safe to say that you’ll just need to find Pokestops located near any of Offpeak.my’s partner restaurants if you want to maximise your chances of being at the right place. With Pokemon GO launched barely a week here in Malaysia, it’s interesting to see how so many companies are trying hard to leverage the game in their business. We’re sure there’ll be even more examples of similar activities happening in the coming weeks, or at least until the hype for the game dies down… if it ever does that is.
