Blizzard’s up and coming team-based shooter Overwatch is headed to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as confirmed by the company. The game is expected to arrive early next year.
This rough release window comes from the Overwatch: Origins Edtion pre-order promo on Battle.net; which is generally expected to release sometime before 21 June 2016. The game is currently undergoing closed beta.
We aren’t too sure what “Origins Edition” actually means yet but it could mean that this version of the game will have more characters added as new content is released. But what is confirmed is that the game is going to be out on all three platforms and pre-orders get a bonus Noire Widowmaker skin at launch.
BlizzCon 2015 is this weekend; and we expect to hear more about Overwatch and Blizzard’s other games very soon. If you happen to have Astro, you can also catch the Blizzcon championships live on Astro Supersport.
