Phantasy Star Online 2: The Animation has just gotten a new promo video; but also revealed the full cast of characters and voice actors as well as the anime’s release date. this second promotional video is a lot longer than the previous one; and features Shouta Aoi’s “Zessei Stargate” (Unrivaled Stargate) theme.
The series, which is inspired by the Phantasy Star Online 2 MMORPG by Sega, will have a completely original story to the game, and will follow PSO2 players in a near future timeline. The show will premier on TBS 7 January 2016 in Japan; though the first episode will be screened at Tokyo’s Theatre Shinjuku on 29 December.

Keiichiro Kawaguchi (Hayate the Combat Butler) is directing the series while Mitsutaka Hirota (X-men, Persona 4 the Animation) is writing the scripts. Minoko Takasu (O-jii-san no Lamp) is heading character design for Phantasy Star Online 2: The Animation.
This would be the eight project launched by Sega to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the Phantasy Star Online franchise, with the latest platform to receive PSO 2 to be the Playstation 4 in 2016. The futuristic MMORPG runs on a free to play model; where you can purchase premiums to allow you to use certain features of the game.
