The Gunpla Expo World Tour has been a staple expo for Gundam and Gunpla Fans the world over, and with the big fan base in the South East Asian, region, we’ve seen it consistently in countries like Malaysia, Singapore and even Thailand. However, while those three countries have had the expo held in 2016, the Philippines seems to have been left out. Not this year however as it seems that the Gunpla Expo World Tour will finally be hitting the country this 2017

This information comes via a flyer that was seen by a Philippines Gundam/Gunpla Fan diobrando on Instagram. In it, we can see the familiar Gunpla Expo World Tour Logo together with the date and location that the Expo will be held. The details that we can glean from the flyer so far is as follows:

Date: 25 February to 5 March 2017
Location: SM Mall of Asia, Main Mall Atrium
Admission is also free and it also looks like they’ll be holding a raffle. Other information we managed to get out of the flyer includes the exhibits that visitor to the Expo will be able to see, including a 3-meter tall, Gundam RX-78 2 Statue, a Philippines version of a Bearguy diorama, various other Gunpla model exhibits and MG Gundam exhibits. There’ll also be limited edition items available to be purchased during the expo.
Aside from that, though, we can’t seem to get any more information about the expo. We’re trying to reach out to the organisers at the moment, and we’ll update the site with more information as soon as we get them.
