The Pokemon Company has revealed a brand new Pokemon game for mobile and the game will let you collect and battle “toy Pokemon”.

Called Pokeland, the new game is set to land on iOs and Android devices, with an open alpha test to run for the first 10,000 players on the Android version in Japan until 9 June.

The basic premise of the game is to collect the onscreen ‘toy Pokemon’ and then use them in battle. They can learn new skills and continue to grow as you collect more Pokemon as you go along.

I’m personally not a huge fan of the game’s aesthethic but it’s still pretty cute.

There’s a total of six islands with 52 different stages, 134 Pokemon to befriend and a Champion Tower with 15 floors.

While the game has no specified release date, you can register for the open alpha on the game’s website.
