As part of their 20th Anniversary celebrations , Pokemon will be getting a new series of animated shorts that will take us through quite a bit of Pokemon history before we hit the new generation.
Pokemon Generations will run from the 16th to 23rd December, with each episode running 5 minutes each on the franchise’s Youtube Channel. The series will have a total of 16 episodes.
From the trailer we can already see some memorable moments from the previous games; the Regigas battle from Pokemon Diamond and Pearl and that pesky Red Gyarados from Silver and Gold. The trainer present in the preview kinda looks like Red, the character from the first game (which Ash is kinda based on) and we also see what could be Blue, also from the original games.
There isn’t any extra info on the series as of yet but it’s somewhat reminiscent of Pokemon Origins, which is a miniseries based on Pokemon Red and Blue. You can catch it on either YouTube or Hulu, whichever one is available to you.
