Bring out the pop corn Mac users, because Popcorn Time is coming to Apple TV. After announcing expanded support for Google Chromecast, the torrent-streaming service has just announced support for Apple’s AirPlay.
For those unaware, Popcorn Time is a cross-platform movie and TV show streaming service. It’s a lot like Netflix, except that it’s free and uses P2P infrastructure.
Hollywood hates them and has been fighting against the rise of torrent sites but Popcorn Time has shown no signs of letting up, expanding to more delivery channels. Now available for PC, Mac, Linux and Android, the service is super easy to use.
Power it up and it’ll scan torrent-verse for content and beams them to you computer. Quick, painless, free.
If you’re not bothered about the moral and legal issues surrounding torrents (issues? what issues?), then Popcorn Time is going to be something you may want to have on your desktop or mobile.
