Last year in September, there is a big announcement of anime adaptation of Hinako Seta’s (Shonen Onmyouji) work, Re-Kan!/レーカン! which is a 4-panel (4 koma) school comedy manga. The series will be aired in April 2015 with director Masashi Kudo (Hayate no Gotoku!), series composition by Takashi Aoshima (Sabagebu!) and character design fell to Aoi Yamamoto (Fairy Tail). Studio Perriot will be responsible for the production of the series.
Known castings were Ibuki Kido (Isuca, Golden Time), Yoshisa Kawahara (Absolute Duo, Bakuman) and Mikako Izawa (Locodol, Amagi Brilliant Park).
The manga is serialized under Honbunsha’s Manga Time Jumbo after debuted as one-shot manga at December 2009 with five tankubon volumes is already out for sale so far. The synopsis is “Amami Hibiki is a girl who can see ghosts and other supernatural phenomena in her surroundings. The stories follow her daily life with both her friends and the otherworldly.”
The story is comedic in nature with snappy setpieces due to 4 panel story arrangement so expect a slice of life with comedic elements thrown in. Nothing serious or dark should be expected despite the subject matter being a supernatural related somehow. So what do you think of this, comment below and let us know.
