Updated: Looks like we got pranked. Seems the Twitter account mentioned here isn’t really Josh Tranks. So we’ll have to take this particular news with a big fist of salt.

After months of production have gone by, we finally get to see something out of the rather secretive reboot of the Fantastic Four movie. Director Josh Trank took to Twitter himself to reveal what the lovable ol’ clobberer from Yancy Steet, Ben Grimm, is going to look like in the upcoming reboot.
From the looks of it, we can definitely say the Thing looks way better and more menacing compared to the first movie’s look, when he was played by Michael Chiklis. This time round, actor Jamie Bell will be playing the craggly Grimm, though we still can’t our heads around that point of casting. Seriously, Ben Grimm is an imposing figure, even when he wasn’t the Thing. Jamie Bell doesn’t seem to have the physique for it. Heck, at least Michael Chiklis looked the part.
Aside from the Ben Grimm reveal, Josh Trank also took the opportunity to explain the casting of Michael B. Jordan as the Human Torch. He said “I didn’t choose to make Johnny black. I chose to make Michael, Johnny.” And when asked if the difference in ethnicity will affect Johnny Storm’s sibling relationship with Sue Storm (played by Kate Mara), he said that both will still be sibling we maybe some minor change. Do we hear adopted sibling somewhere? And how about the uniforms? Trank said that we shouldn’t be expecting the typical tights, but that’s the most he could reveal.
The Fantastic Four reboot is expected to be released in 2015 and it stars Miles Teller as Richard Reed/Mr Fantastic, Kate Mara as Susan Storm/Invisible Woman, Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch, Jamie Bell as Ben Grimm/The Thing and Toby Kebbel as Dr Victor Von Doom. Josh Trank will be directing and it’ll be under the 20th Century Fox label.
Stay tuned for more Fantastic Four 4 news as they come out.
