e-Sports are seriously taking off now with how fast the industry is growing, even for us. Resorts World Genting is collaborating with ESL to hold a first-of-its-kind tourney called ESL One Genting, which will be happening next year.
To run at the Arena of Stars at Resorts World Genting from 6-8 January next year, ESL One will also be the first ever e-Sports tournament to take place at the resort.
ESL One is a Dota 2 tournament with a US$250,000 prize pool, with eight teams to compete for said prize. The teams will be revealed as the tournament draws closer; to comprise of both invited teams, internationally qualified teams as well as some of our own local champions.
With ESL One Manila attracting over 16,000 fans and with over 2.5 million unique viewers tuning in online, there’s no doubt that ESL One Genting will be huge. Expect to find some of our local broadcasting services to be televising it live as well!
