After spending three years in development, League of Legends dev Riot Games finally unleashes their co-op board game Mechs vs. Minions; and its chock full of Yordles.
Basically, you get control of Tristana, Corki, Ziggs and Heimerdinger as they are invited to Rumble’s mech training school; where something happens and they find themselves fighting a horde of mobs to save Runeterra.
The game is the brainchild of Chris Cantrell, Riot associate producer and a small team working on the board game as a side project for the last three years. The resultant game is a balanced mess of simple mechanics and depth that is apparently satisfying even for casual players.
Mechs vs. Minions will hit Riot’s online store on 13 October for USD$75 (about RM310).
