It hasn’t been too long since Garena launched it’s very own mobile multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game, Arena of Valor (AOV) and now, they’re already getting ready to start its first eSports tournament with it. Called the Garena AOV Qualifiers, the tournament also comes with an RM70,000 prize pool!
The tournament is open to anyone who wants to join and Garena will be running eight qualifier events in Malaysia at Kuala Lumpur (KL)/Selangor, Johor, Perak, Pahang, Melaka, and Penang. It will then culminate in the Group Stages, Semi-Finals and Finals that will be held in KL.
“Following our local launch, we have always believed that Esports is the pinnacle for all major game titles. Therefore, we look forward to seeing our players seize the opportunity at becoming Malaysia’s best and pave the way for AOV Esports in the future,” said Goh Jian Hao, Garena Malaysia’s Product Manager for AOV.
For those of you who have picked the game up and fancy yourselves as budding professionals for it, now’s the time to show off your AOV chops. Just get your teammates registered for the tournament, and if you all are skilled enough, part of that RM70,000 will be yours.
For the KL/Selangor qualifiers, registration will be open until 16 November while for the other states, registration will be until 22 November. So if you’re going to join in and win, you’ll want to head over HERE to register your team for the tournament.
