PokemonGO Blocked

Rumours have been going around that those who have downloaded the APK to play Pokemon GO early will have their devices banned by Niantic if they don’t remove it from their phones now. However, the rumours are unfounded.

As of the moment, those who have the game but aren’t situated in the launch countries are unable to play because nothing spawns on the map.

While Niantic has in fact punished Ingress players for spoofing locations or registering a fake Apple ID, there’s no solid proof that they will ban players who picked up the APK for Pokemon GO early.

But thanks to the rumours, people are deleting their games in droves anyhow.

There hasn’t been official notice from the Pokemon Company or Niantic on what they might do to the “early adopters” but its not likely they will ban your device.

However, its best to pick up the file directly from the Play Store or the App Store as opposed to picking it up from unauthorised sources, as picking up apps in that manner could expose your device to threats.

In the mean time, just gotta wait for it to release in your region. Also, check out some of the known issues with the game, which we hope will be addressed when it finally launches.
