News about the cast for Star Trek: Discovery has been quite sparse, but there’s a new rumour that Michelle Yeoh has been cast for the show.
The news comes from Nicholas Meyer, director for Star Trek: II The Wrath of Khan, who also happens to be a consulting producer for Discovery.
“I know Michelle Yeoh is in it,” Meyer told Coming Soon. He wouldn’t say who she’s playing, but it’s quite possible she’s the female lead we know the show will have.
CBS has told io9 that some of the information from Coming Soon’s story is inaccurate but wouldn’t elaborate exactly which.
Michelle Yeoh has starred in James Bond flick Tomorrow Never Dies, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Memoirs of a Geisha and Sunshine just to name a few. Hopefully the rumours are true and she is indeed on the show.
