Samsung has just announced the ATIV One 7 Curved, an all-in-one PC that has a 27-inch curved monitor which, according to the company, gives an illusion that “tricks your eyes into thinking the display is even larger than it actually is”. The manufacturer also claims that it will reduce screen glare due to the curved design.
Powered by an Intel Core i5 CPU with an Intel HD Graphics 5500 with 8GB RAM and 1TB 5400RPM as storage, the PC will run on Windows 8.1 right out of the box. The package will also come with accessories such as 2 USB 3.0 ports, 2 USB 2.0 ports, HDMI port and a card reader. Besides that, it sports a pair of 10W speakers and capable of lossless audio transmission through APT-X.
The curved 27-inch monitor has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 but it is not a touchscreen capable. This piece of Samsung tech will set you back a good US$1300 (RM4545) and will be launched in the first quarter of 2015 in USA first. It’s currently uncertain if Samsung will market the ATIV One 7 Curved in Asia.
