Samsung‘s popped out some new Quantum Dot displays made just for gamers, and they look pretty awesome.

The new monitors are the Samsung CFG70, which comes in two flavours;  24-inch and 27-inch variants. The Quantum Dot tech is most found on their flagship TVs, but it’s great that it’s finally coming down to the personal computing space.

Both displays have Full HD resolution, a glare-reducing matte finish and a fast 144 Hz refresh rate with a moving pixel response time of just 1ms. You also get a 3,000:1 contrast ratio thanks to the Quantum Dot tech.

If you’re not sure what’s Quantum Dot, our buddies over at Soyacincau made a video explaining it:

The monitors also feature an 1800R curve as well as AMD’s FreeSync tech, but if you’re a NVIDIA user well, you’re out of luck.

In terms of price, the 24-inch model will be going for RM1,699 while the 27-inch model will be RM2,099; with pre-orders on Lazada open till 26 January. The first 100 customers will get a free gift worth RM264.
