Samurai Jack is but a month or so away from coming back to TV, and Adult Swim has released a full trailer for the show!
The new trailer essentially puts down the premise of the new show, and things are looking a bit grim for Jack:
It’s been 50 years since we saw Samurai Jack and time has not been kind to him. Aku has destroyed every time portal and Jack has stopped aging, a side effect of time travel. It seems he is cursed to just roam the land for all eternity.
But it doesn’t stop the upcoming series revival from looking jammed full of action; and Jack has only become more bad-ass with age. The series originally premiered in 2001 on Cartoon Network and is very much about Samurai Jack’s quest to defeat the demon Aku, who destroyed his father’s kingdom and flung him into a future controlled by Aku.
It ran til 2004 when it was canceled by Cartoon Network in its fourth season. This new season (season five) will be running for 10 episodes starting 11 March.
