The second generation of Moto X is coming to Malaysia as it already passed the Malaysian SIRIM certification under the model number XT1092. The new Moto X will be distributed under Brightstar like all other Motorola models in Malaysia.

Specifications wise, it is a 5.2-inch Full HD display with Quad-Core Snapdragon 801 CPU with 2GB RAM. The GPU is Adreno 330 helps to deliver 424ppi on this phone.There are 16GB and 32GB options available for internal storage, but it can’t be supplemented by additional storage via microSD card. A 13MP back camera capable of 4K videos with special ring flash illumination whereas the front camera is a conventional 2MP with 1080p resolution. It has front stereo speakers like the second generation Moto G models. The phone measures around 140.8 x 72.4 x 10 mm at bout 144g in weight.

The incoming model is limited to Black and White colours only and it supports 4G LTE with capability to support nano-SIM. However, despite with all the specs, the Moto X gen 2 will only sport a 2,300mAh battery which is a bit on the low side. However, some reviewers considered this model which released back in September 2014 as one of the best flagship smartphone in terms of price, cost and productivity versus the big guns in the market like HTC, Apple and Samsung.

The model’s price for Malaysia is not known yet, but based on past Moto X pricing, the 16GB generation one Moto X was priced around RM1,499 back then.
