The second cour/season of Fafner in the Azure: Dead Aggressor -EXODUS/蒼穹のファフナー EXODUS or Soukyuu no Fafner: Dead Aggressor – Exodus 2nd Season is confirmed for the October screening after the first cour concluded last season with 13 episodes. The story will continue on the mankind’s desperate attempt to stem the tide of silicon based alien FESTUM from overrunning Earth.

The staff and cast should not differ so much this time around for the second cour. Toshimasa Suzuki (Heroic Age, Rinne no Lagrange) and Habara Nobuyoshi (Break Blade, Bakuretsu Hunter) will be directing the series while Masafumi Mima (Chobits, Full Metal Alchemist) doing the sound directing. Script will be written by Tou Ubukata who previously worked on Ghost in the Shell: Arise and Heroic Age. Saito Tsuneyoshi (Idolm@ster: Xenoglossia, xxxHolic) is the music composer this time around. Hisashi Hirai (Gundam SEED, Heroic Age) will continue his gig as character designer of the upcoming series. ANGELA will once again be the singer for the series.
Studio XEBEC (Stellvia of the Universe) will be the chief animator of the production. Voice actors/actress are Kohei Kiyasu (Soushi Minashiro), Makoto Ishii (Kazuki Manabe), Marika Matsumoto (Maya Toomi) and Tamaki Nakanishi as Tsubaki Minashiro.
