If you’ve been hankering to join a homegrown eSports tournament, this year’s Selangor Cyber Games (SCG) is rolling around next month! more details inside.
The tournament runs from 9-11 September 2016, and has a huge RM350,000+ cash prize, with many popular games to duke it out in, including Dota 2, League of Legends and CS:GO.
The competition will take place at One City Subang Jaya, with cooperation from the Mineski Events Team, Big Machinez and Majlis Sukan Negeri Selangor.
Here’s the full list of competitions and prizes:
- MPGL Sea Championship Dota 2 – USD50,000 (~RM200,000)
- SCG League of Legend Cup – USD15,000 (~RM60,000)
- SCG Dota 2 Cup – RM20,000
- SCG CS:GO CUp – RM20,000
- SCG FIFA 16 Cup – RM20,000
- SCG Hearthstone Cup – RM10,000
- SCG Ultra Sreet Fighter V Cup – RM10,000
- SCG Clash Royale Cup – RM10,000
The event is also sponsored by Acer Predator, Acer’s gaming wing, alongside NVIDIA, who are both providing the high end gaming rigs for the competition. Other sponsors include SteelSeries, TIME dotCom, One City, Garena, eGG, Twitch, E-Club, Tourism Selangor, MPSJ, Edollar, Mineski Infinity and Ecity Hotel.
The main competition, however, would be the MPGL SEA Championship 2016, which gathers the best Dota 2 teams from the SEA region to battle it out at One City. This will have Dota fans from around the region joining in the fray!
