Shimoneta to Iu Gainen ga Sonzai Shinai Taikutsu na Sekai/下ネタという概念が存在しない退屈な世界 or A Boring World Where the Concept of Dirty Jokes Doesn’t Exist is a Japanese light novel series by Hirotaka Akagi with illustrations by Eito Shimotsuki. So far, eight volumes have been out since July 2012 under Gagaga Bunko and was adapted into a manga series by N’Yuzuki under title of Shimoneta to Iu Gainen ga Sonzai Shinai Taikutsu na Sekai: Manmaruhen (manga-hen) (下ネタという概念が存在しない退屈な世界 マン●篇) since May 2014.
Yes, now, we have anime adaptation coming up.
Director is confirmed to be Youhei Suzuki (Toradora!, Aoi Hana) and series composition will be done by Masahiro Yokotani (Free!, Hataraku Maou Sama) with character designing falling to Masahiro Fujii (Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo, Hayate no Gotoku!!). Cast involved are Yūsuke Kobayashi (Arslan Senki, Nozo x Kimi), Shizuka Ishigami (Nozo x Kimi, Nagi no Asakura) and Miyu Matsuki (Dog Days, Haibane Reimei).
The story is just basically about two teenage “terrorists” launching a raunchy or crass assault against a talented female student council president while there is an institution of “Law for Public Order and Morals in Healthy Child-Raising” that bans all forms of swearing for 16 years in a dystopian future of Japan.
J.C Staff (Golden Time, Witchcraft Works), veterans of the anime industry will be animating the series. The series is well known for borderline hentai jokes and pranks which should be an interesting, if not crass comedy that is very in-your-face.
The anime series is confirmed for a July lineup this year.
