The popular flight search engine Skyscanner has gotten an update, and its more than just a makeover for the interface.
Started in 2003, Skyscanner is basically a search engine which sniffs out the cheapest flights around the world for budget conscious travelers worldwide. They released the app for both iOS and Android, with the recent update bringing improvements to the user interface, functionality as well as smarter features.
Recent searches will now save to your home screen, so if you’ve been eyeing a new holiday location you can easily return to it. The searches will sync across all your devices using the Skyscanner app too!
The app will also point out the best deals by highlighting low-cost flights to destinations from your nearest airport. The graphs and calender are colour coded too, with red highlighting the most expensive options, amber being everything in between and green flights being the cheapest option.
They’ve also enhanced their search filters by introducing a Skyscanner rating based on price, flight duration and number of stops to give you the lowdown on the best flight.
The refreshed app is available on iTunes and can also be downloaded on Google Play. If you already own the app, you will get a notification to upgrade once it rolls out to your device.
