Sony launched a teaser trailer named “Welcome to the New World” that is hinting that a new Xperia model will be showcased at CES 2015 Las Vegas soon next week. The video shows the number “5” a number of times, perhaps trying to hint the time of the launch of the new Xperia product.
There is a short cut showing a kid with a lollipop so it is a strong, unmistakable hint of the new Android OS is tied to the new Xperia product. Even the blog on Xperia showing a reflection that looks like some sort of a mobile device on the human eye.
A few leaks are already talking about next in the line Sony Xperia’s smartphone flagship despite the fact that the Z3 just launched back in September last year. To recap what is rumoured about the Z4 in the leaks, the model is expected to carry a 5.5-inch QHD display with the resolution of 2560 x 1440. A Snapdragon 801 CPU with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage is being talked about but Sony might deploy an upgrade for camera from IMX220 20.7MP sensor to a curved Exmor RS CMOS sensor with same resolution.
Let’s not forget that there was discussion in which the Z4 will be featured as product placement in that leaked email discussion between the Sony Picture bigwigs themselves for latest James Bond movie. In the emails, we got to know what colours that the Z4 might be featured in and there is even a hint of wearable device that goes along with the Z4.
