Details of Sony’s upcoming flagship smartphone are already leaked. Recently published by same source that leaked the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact a while back, we have a first idea on what to expect from the upcoming Sony Xperia Z4, not Z3X as rumored earlier.
Apparently the Sony Xperia Z4 will be touting Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core 64-bit chipset clocked at 2.8GHz and an Adreno 430 GPU. 32GB storage internal on-board instead of 16GB of previous models with a whopping 4GB RAM. The model will also be a first Sony smartphone to use a QHD resolution (2560 X 1440) display at 5.5 inches.
In the camera department, the Z4 will be upgraded from the IMX220 20.7MP sensor that has been standard feature since the Z1, to a curved Exmor RS CMOS sensor with a similar resolution. It will be first Sony smartphone to be equipped with LTE Cat 6 connectivity and Bluetooth 4.1.
It is expected to appear in March 2015, perhaps before the next or during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015.
