Looks like one of the latest reality shows to hit Southeast Asian TV is based on eSports and gamers.

The show is the brainchild of Singapore based E-Sports media portal Sprout Entertainment Group, and this would be the first of its kind in the region. They’re working to produce a “32-episode TV series leading up to an epic, new-generation cinematic franchise”.

The show will have a Big Brother-meets-The Voice reality show TV format, with the first 4-part series to focus on FIFA Online titled “Game to Fame: Road To World Cup“. They’ll then be featuring games like League of Legends, DOTA and CS:GO.

Contestants will actually be vying for pro gaming-contacts, and at the end of the 8-episode series, they’ll get to compete against former pros in an all-stars invitational match.

Casting starts 19 August across the SEA region, and filming is expected to start 19 September.
