KH HD II.8

SquareEnix has unleashed upon us a handful of new Kingdom Hearts HD collections, following their extra confusing naming conventions.

KH HD_8_1

The three collections they’ve announced are none other than Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix and finally the oddly named Kingdom Hearts HD II.8 for the PlayStation 4. The set is basically set to lead up into the events of Kingdom Hearts III while filling you in the gaps, due to the nature of the Kingdom Hearts series essentially turning into plot spaghetti, you might want to snag this set too.

KH HD II.2
We’re pretty sure that’s Aqua there.

In a nutshell, Kingdom Hearts HD II.8 will also have a HD remaster of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance for the 3DS on top of a new HD trailer cinematic called Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover. Finally, the bundle will include a new playable episode called Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth By Sleep – A Fragmentary Passage – which we can only imagine is a fragment of well, something. But if the trailer has any indication, it looks like we’re following Aqua on another mini adventure.

Kingdom Hearts HD II.8 doesn’t seem to have a proper release date yet, but we assume it would be out before Kingdom Hearts III.

Believe us, we are just as confused as you are.
