A new Star Trek cruise was announced by Entertainment Cruise Productions, a company specializing in themed ocean liner cruises. Soon to embark on 9 January 2017 from Miami, the six-day, six-night voyage will allow fans to experience Star Trek while touring the Gulf of Mexico and Bahamian islands. This is held in celebration of 50 years anniversary of the franchise next year.
The cruise line is now taking reservations for its 2200 passenger journey from Florida to Cozumel to the Bahamas. Guests will be able to enjoy a wide variety of Star Trek-themed activities and in addition of rubbing elbows with some of the biggest names in the Star Trek franchise such as William Shatner, Jonathan Frakes, Marina Sirtis, Robert Picardo, Denise Crosby, and John de Lancie.
The ship’s interior will be redecorated with the Star Trek theme and the crew will be sporting the uniforms of Starfleet in order to make this as immersive an experience as possible for fans. Fans will able to hang out in Ten Forward, Club 602, and Quark’s Bar while on board. Not only that, fans will be treated to various performances from the cast including “An Evening With William Shatner,” the Frakes and Sirtis collaboration “Love Letters,” a tap dancing exhibition by Crosby, Q’s Masquerade Ball (hosted by John de Lancie), and a concert that will be held by Deep Space Nine’s own Vic Fontaine, James Darren.
