Can barely wait for Rogue One : A Star Wars Story? the biggest local Star Wars fan convention happening this year will sate your hunger for all things Star Wars while you wait for the movie!
Organised by the Star Wars Malaysia Fan Club (SWMFC) the “Rogue One: Red Alert” (#R1RA) will be taking place this weekend at The School, Jaya One.
There will be festivities to be had, all to the theme of Star Wars as part of the run-up to the Malaysian premiere of the show, which drops 15 December 2016.
The event kicks off at 10 am – 6 pm on both days, and will be absolutely free to enter! Just head on over to the ground floor at the School to join in the fun.
There will be cosplay performances, Star Wars themed photobooths, copious amounts of exhibits and intensely detailed Star Wars models AND a huge charity flea market. If that doesn’t interest you, there will be trivia competitions, X-Wing tabletop games and lightsaber demonstrations! There’s basically something for everyone.
“We’re always striving to bring members of the community closer together, and with passion for the Star Wars universe growing with each passing year, this event is another step in fostering closer relations amongst fans,” says SWMFC President, Syed Rafie.
Last but not least, SWMFC will be collecting donations on behalf charities supported by the fan club; including Rumah Solehah, House of Love, Yayasan Chow Kit, Klang Utara Children’s Home and UNICEF.
