The third and final chapter of the StarCraft 2 trilogy is finally open for preorders, allowing would-be players to buy the Protoss campaign through Battle.net, with the game going into beta a few months back.
The game doesn’t have a set release date as of yet, with Blizzard targeting a Winter release but preordering the game lets gets you access to the game’s prologue, presumably to keep you moderately occupied till the full campaign is released. The prologue “Whispers of Oblivion” will come with three chapters with focus on the Dark Templar Zeratul and connects the game to the previous campaign Heart of the Swarm.
The new campaign will be bringing some new things to the table, one of which is a new multi-player option called Archon Mode which lets two players control a single base and Allied Commanders which is an objective based coop mode on top of the expected single-player Protoss campaign.
Legacy of the Void will retail for $39.99 (that’s about RM152) and there will be a digital deluxe edition available for $59.99 (about RM228) that would include extra goodies like skins for StarCraft 2 and Blizzard’s other games like Diablo 3, World of Warcraft, Hearthstone and Heroes of the Storm. Alternatively, if you happen to miss the pre-orders, you can get the entire shebang at $59.99 (RM 228) that includes Wings of Liberty, Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void. A deluxe edition is available as well, if you want to shell out for premiums.
Now the question is, what other surprises are waiting for us in the Void? and if there are, we bet the Xel-Naga have something to do with it.
