A new trailer has arrived for the reimagining of Stephen King’s The Mist, and wow this trailer is something else.

We’ve known that a new series surrounding King’s book of the same name was, in fact, rolling in, but dang this looks magnificent.

Here’s the synopsis:

THE MIST centers around a small town family that is torn apart by a brutal crime. As they deal with the fallout an eerie mist rolls in, suddenly cutting them off from the rest of the world and, in some cases, each other. Family, friends and adversaries become strange bedfellows, battling the mysterious mist and its threats, fighting to maintain morality and sanity as the rules of society break down.

I don’t know about you, but just from the trailer alone it already looks like it’s going to be a wonderfully creepy series with a fair bit of gore. I haven’t personally read the book, but I think it’ll be even better than that movie that came out in 2007.

Cast for the show includes Morgan Spector, Alyssa Sutherland, Gus Birney, Danica Curcic, Okezie Morro, Luke Cosgrove, Darren Pettie, Russell Posner, Dan Butler, Isiah Washington Jr. and Frances Conroy.

The Mist is set to air on Spike TV starting 22 June.
