Sword Art Online is getting another TV anime adaptation, this time focusing on their Alicization arc from the light novel series.
The news came from the Sword Art Online stage panel at the Dengeki Bunko Fall Festival 2017 event last weekend, and the new series will be called Sword Art Online: Alicization.
The series will once again star Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Kirito and Haruka Tomatsu as Asuna, with Ai Kayano as Alice and Nobunaga Shimazaki as Eugeo. For those unfamiliar with the light novel series, the Alicization arc is in volumes 9 through 18.
Previously, it was teased that SAO will return at the end of the Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale film and it looks like they’re making good on that promise.
