If you love anime and game music with a little touch of classical, you’ll love what AniManGaki has in store for convention-goers this year. They have announced that TAMusic featuring Akai Ryuusei will be part of their special guests’ line-up at this years AniManGaki!
For those of you unfamiliar with TAM, the musician started off on the streets of Akihabara as a violinist while uploading many of his works online. He has since gained much popularity, especially among Touhou (a bullet-hell shooter series) fans, and has since released over 150 albums and performed over 100 times in Japan.
In 2003, TAM was greatly inspired by the renowned visual novel company, Key, and then started covering Key’s musical works. In 2005, he formed his very own doujin circle, TAMusic and has since produced many CDs under it. On top of that, he was also appointed by Key to provide his music for a number their visual novels.
TAMusic will also be bringing along fellow musician and friend Akai Ryuusei. Ryuusei is a pianist, keyboardist, orchestrator and music producer that debut in 2008 primarily through the video sharing site Nico Nico Douga. He is best known for his involvement in the “Tokyo Active NEETs”, a group that specialises in Touhou, game music and anisong renditions. He is also the band leader and Pianist for the band MINT that performs a variety of song genres including jazz, metal, progressive rock, and fusion.
TAMusic featuring Akai Ryuusei will now join AniManGaki 2016 as part of the conventions performance line-up and this will be the first time both have performed a concert in Malaysia.
