TEDxKL is back for another year to bring the people of KL together to talk Tech, Entertainment and Design. This would be the non-profit’s seventh year running, with the theme this year “Infinity and Beyond”. TEDxKL 2015 is expecting a turnout of over 3,500 people, and the event will be held on 8 August 2015 at Putra Indoor Stadium Bukit Jalil.

The event is a platform for people with bold ideas to speak to similar individuals in the same space, be they veteran personalities in the industry or budding up-and-comers which share a common goal to push the boundaries of possibilities in their chosen fields, be it though hard work, talent, genius or passion.

Of the personalities speaking at the event this year are three exceptional individuals, including actor-director-comedian-entrepreneur Afdlin Shauki, one of Malaysia’s most culturally diverse music group AkashA Malaysia, musician-guitarist Sam Triggy and established eye surgeon Dr Kenneth Fong.

Irshad Mubarak is a banker turned naturalist with over 25 years under his belt, and is the founder of Natural History Tours, a company that specialises in wildlife tours around Langkawiand nearby islands with focus on the local flora and fauna. He also trains conservationists and budding naturalists.

Datuk Ramli Ibrahim is the founder of the Sutra Foundation and is a Malaysian cultural dance icon, having performed from Chennai to Paris for over 30 years. He also is the artistic director of the Sutra Dance Theatre, having  choreographed stunning performances and nurturing some of the finest dance talents in Malaysia.

Adrian Cheok is the founder and Director of the Mixed Reality Lab Singapore, and is the inventor and Professor of Pervasive Computing. The lab aims to push the boundries of research into interactive new media technology, having already made technological advancements that have the potential to unlock the power of human intelligence, link minds globally, accelerate learning, and enhance creativity.
