The reboot of the series, Terminator Genisys is up and the new trailer shows how different it is from the original series that we knew. Set in an alternate universe where Sarah Connor already knew about the existence the killer machines in 1984 and somehow has a T800 Terminator as some sort of a guardian. Not only that, she is a warrior woman, not the helpless waitress she was in the first Terminator movie acted by Linda Hamilton.
Written by Laeta Kalogridis (Alexander, Pathfinder) and Patrick Lussier with the director’s chair falling to Alan Taylor (Thor: The Dark World), we will see good ol’ Arnold Schwarzenegger is reprising his role as the killer machine with inclusion of new people like Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), Jason Clarke (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes), Jai Courtney (Suicide Squad) and the Storm Shadow guy, Lee Byung-hun (G.I. Joe, Red 2).
The movie is scheduled for 1 July 2015 according to Paramount Pictures.
Let’s hope this will not bomb as bad as the last two major movies.
