Persona 5 has gotten some new updates about its playable characters thanks to Atlus during the Tokyo Games Show 2015.
Atlus “declassified” the wanted files about the Phantom Thieves which forms the central narrative of the story. This includes the still nameless player character who is the leader of the group. The profile indicates that he is a 16-year-old high school student and the new kid around town.
He is joined by Ryuji, a famous or infamous troublemaker, Anne who is a hafu (half American) that is constantly being subjected to gossip in school due to her looks and a child sized, cat-like Morgana. There is some similiarities between Morgana and main character’s own pet cat, so it begs to question what will he role really be.
Morgana is also voiced by the famous Ikue Otani, who is the voice of Pikachu. The fifth member is Yuusuke Kitagawa voiced by legendary Tomokazu Sugita (Gintoki Sakata in Gintama). He is a scholarship student who is attending this particular school as part of art course and lives with his landlord Madarame who happens to be a painter.
Atlus also hinted on Twitter that the team will have more members that can be added in the future.

The lineup might also include a mysterious member who is unable to summon any Personas. However, Atlus has stated that the PS3 and PS4 version of Persona 5 will not be out until summer 2016. Bummer.
As a form of apology, the developer let loose a brand new trailer that shows off the gameplay and the cast in action. And on the final note, Atlus announced an anime special for Persona 5 is in the works but had offer no more details.
