Bandai Namco and CyberConnect 2 have been producing Naruto fighting games for the better part of 15 years, and this latest game is set to be the last.
The first Naruto: Ultimate Ninja came out in 2003, and they’ve since made a slew of spin-offs and new titles for the franchise, with the most current title being Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4.
They’re even releasing an expansion for Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 called Road to Boruto, which focuses on Naruto’s son. The series has sold over 15 million copies, with Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 selling two million worldwide. Whew.
For those who want to grab Road to Boruto but already own Ultimate Ninja Storm 4, you can pick it up as a digital-only add on. For those who don’t own the game yet, you can pick up a full priced version of Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 with multiple DLC packs and the Road to Boruto expansion.
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 – Road to Boruto will be out in February 2017 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Whether they will continue making any more content for Naruto at this point is up in the air but its safe to say the odds are kinda low.
