Yes, you read that right, Fox is adapting The Exorcist (the original source novel, not the film) into a TV series.
The pilot, which was recently ordered by Fox, will basically be a modern incarnation of the horror story. The hour long series has been described as “a propulsive, serialized psychological thriller following two very different men tackling one family’s case of horrifying demonic possession, and confronting the face of true evil.”
Maybe we are getting a much grittier version of Supernatural?
The Exorcist pilot will be written by Jeremy Slater (Fantastic Four) but other than that there aren’t much details about the new series yet. We are quite curious about how they are going to adapt this into a TV series (because its apparently a remake as well) but we guess till will reveal more when more info rolls around.
