Bandai has unveiled a short teaser for the upcoming Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt anime. It may not be much but its already given us goosebumps! Check it out inside.
Just yesterday we were talking about the new visual key for the anime, where image showed the pilots with their gundams, Full Armor Gundam and Psyco Zaku came out earlier this week on the official site for the anime. The tagline even reads “The two are fated to kill each other” which bodes pretty omnious for both characters.
Gundam Thunderbolt is set in the same One Year War in UC 0079 as the first Mobile Suit Gundam anime . It follows the battles of two ace pilots ( MS Pilot Io Flemming and Zeon sniper Daryl Lorenz) at the “Thunderbolt Sector” a shoal zone full of space wreckage. So no kids here, just gritty storytelling while the big boys duke it out.
As usual, the veteran Studio Sunrise will be taking up the mantle of production. The manga series which is written and drawn by Yasuo Ohtagaki (Moonlight Mile) has been serialized in Big Comic Superior since March 2012.
