The Ring sequel, Rings now has a trailer and it looks pretty scary. Set 13 years after the original Ring, the horror has literally gone digital.

The live action film is a direct sequel to The Ring, and is directed by F. Javier Gutierrez, with Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald (The Ring, The Ring Two) producing. David Loucka, Jacon Aaron Estes and Akiva Goldman produced the script, with Alex Roe, Matilda Lutz and Aimee Teegarden starring in the horror film.

Here’s the synopsis from Paramount Pictures:
A young woman becomes worried about her boyfriend when he explores a dark subculture surrounding a mysterious videotape said to kill the watcher seven days after he has viewed it. For those not familiar with The Ring franchise, Sadako is the vengeful ghost of a famous psychic who is tied to a curved video tape containing some disturbing images. Those who watch the tape are killed by her in a week of watching the video. And now it seems those watching the video elsewhere aren’t even safe.

The film is slated for a 28 October 2016 release.
