Just yesterday we were treated to some visuals for the upcoming The Legend of Tarzan movie from Warner Bros, and they’ve released the official trailer today!
A different take on the Edgar Rice Burroughs novel “Tarzan of the Apes”, the movie will have Alexander Skarsgard as Tarzan and Margot Robbie as Jane with director David Yates at the helm of the project. Other cast members include Samuel L. Jackson, Christoph Waltz, Djimon Hounsou, John Hurt and Jim Broadbent.
Here’s the official synopsis to boot:
“It has been years since the man once known as Tarzan (Skarsgård) left the jungles of Africa behind for a gentrified life as John Clayton III, Lord Greystoke, with his beloved wife, Jane (Robbie) at his side. Now, he has been invited back to the Congo to serve as a trade emissary of Parliament, unaware that he is a pawn in a deadly convergence of greed and revenge, masterminded by the Belgian, Captain Leon Rom (Waltz). But those behind the murderous plot have no idea what they are about to unleash.”
The Legend of Tarzan hits cinemas 1 July 2016.
