Earlier this year we heard that the live-action Terraformars movie had found its main star, and now they’ve released not only the full cast list but also the release date for the film adaptation.
The cast list was initially revealed in the 49th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine, with the interview feature detailing the main cast members with director Takashi Miike.
They’ve also dropped a hint that there will be an important announcement on the magazine’s 50th issue about the movie but that won’t come till 12 November. Considering they’ve already revealed quite a bit about the Terraformars movie up to this point, you have to wonder what kind of surprise its going to be.
The movie will be handled by the prolific director Takashi Miike (Ichi the Killer, Crows Zero, As the Gods Will), while Kazuki Nakashima (Gureen Lagann, Kill la Kill) will be writing the screenplay.

Hideaki Itō (Princess Blade, Onmyoji, Umizaru, Sukiyaki Western Django, Lesson of the Evil) on the lead role of Shōkichi Komachi.
Emi Takei (live-action Rurouni Kenshin’s Kaoru, Kyō, Koi o Hajimemasu’s Tsubaki, Ai to Makoto’sAi, Clover’s Saya) stars as the heroine Nanao Akita.
Takayuki Yamada (Densha Otoko, Bakuman., H2: Kimi to Ita Hibi) as Ichirō Hiruma
Shun Oguri (Lupin III, Fullmetal Alchemist: The Movie – Conqueror of Shamballa, Detective Conan) as Kō Honda
