Rumours are floating about on Nintendo’s mysterious NX console, and thanks to Eurogamer we have some new details on the as-of-yet unnamed system.
First off, the Nintendo NX will be running off cartridges instead of discs. We don’t know exactly their size or format but it speaks of its status as both a console and a handheld system. It’s fairly possible it’s also to deter users from being able to pirate games.
However, the NX apparently won’t be backward compatible with previous systems, unlike the Wii U.
The console will also be home to a pair of detachable controllers on either side of its screen as well as coming with a docking station out of the box for you to connect to a TV if you rather play on a larger screen.

As for what’s under the hood, the system allegedly uses a Nvidia Tegra processor.
The Nintendo NX is slated to hit the market March 2017, with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Sega’s Project Sonic to be some of the first few games to be on the console.
