Dracue Software has announced that the release of their remake of Assault Suit Leynos for PS4 is delayed to May 2015. Initially, the reboot was anticipated for 2014, when it was announced at BitSummit earlier this year.
The delay, according to Dracue Software, is to ensure that the remake will live up to fans’ expectations, and complete with more features such as multiple endings and a two-player mode.
First released in Japan back in 1990 under NES and Sega Genesis, the franchise saw three more sequels with the last one coming out in 2004. In the US, the first game was known as Target Earth.
In a nutshell, it’s a 2D side-scrolling platform shooter, featuring the mecha fighting against everything else in a desperate bid to save Earth. Check out the gameplay video below.
