The mutants are back and this time they have to face Apocalypse. The trailer for Fox’s X-Men: Age of Apocalypse has just been released online ahead of its theatrical début with Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

The movie is set in the 80s and sees the rise of one of the X-Men’s biggest villains, En Sabah Nur aka Apocalypse, and the X-Men’s battle against him. In our previous coverage, we already know a couple of the characters that will be appearing in the series, including a young Storm and Psylocke. The trailer however does shed light on a couple of others including what will become the core, movie X-Men team, Jean Grey and Scott Summers.

That’s not all, it isn’t an X-Men movie with Apocalypse if it doesn’t have the Four Horsemen and we’re shown a glimpse of just who they are. So far it seems Magneto ends up being one of them, and so is a young Storm. There’s even a glimpse of the metal winged Archangel thrown in as well.

And if that isn’t enough to excite you, near the end of the trailer, we finally see Professor Xavier lose those locks of his and become the bald Professor X we’ve all come to love.

X-Men: Age of Apocalypse is set to première on Memorial Day in the US which is around May 30 2016.
