Despite the Angry Birds movie being a critical failure in terms of monetary returns, Rovio Entertainment is pushing on to make a sequel to the movie.
The reveal came from the Wall Street Journal, who picked up the news from Rovio Chef Executive Kati Levoranta. We’re not entirely surprised that a sequel is coming; but despite grossing just $346 million worldwide, it still managed to be the second largest grossing video game movie ever. Which is saying something about game to movie adaptations but that’s a story for another time.

No word whether the original cast will be back to voice their characters once more; or are there any other details thus far but you’ll be certain we’ll be looking out for them.
